The ladders feature an oiled finish. Teak's naturally high oil content makes it resistant to salt, sun, snow, and rain, making it a favorite for marine use.

When teak is exposed to the year-round outdoor climate, it will over time mature to a silvery grey color. Whitecap recommends using golden teak oil to preserve the rich golden finish and enhance the grain.
